How to insert charts into my custom dashboard?

Tabla de contenidos

Athento allows you to create custom charts so that you can insert statistics into a custom dashboard.

The charts to be inserted must be created from the menu "Insights".

From the "Custom" tab you will be able to create custom charts.

Within the tab we will see 3 fully differentiated sections.

In the upper left part is the list of charts that we have created previously. If you click on them, you will be able to view or modify their configuration.

In the lower left part is the configuration of the selected chart or the configuration of a new chart that you are setting up.

The options that can be configured for a custom chart depend on the type of chart.

  • Line Charts. For these charts we must specify:
    • Y Axis: Indicates what we are going to count. We have several available options:
      • Documents: The number of documents will be used as the unit on the Y axis.
      • Field: A calculation on the value of a field will be used as the unit for the Y axis. A field and a function to apply must be selected. For now only number-type fields can be selected. The available functions are:
        • Sum: Sums the value of the fields.
        • Average: Calculates an average of the value of the fields.
        • Minimum: Shows the smallest value of the fields.
        • Maximum: Shows the largest value of the fields.
    • X Axis: Indicates how you are going to group it. We have several available options:
      • Creation date: The items that will be taken into account will be those that fall within the intervals according to the document’s creation date.
      • Field: Only a date or date and time-type field can be selected. The items that will be taken into account will be those that fall within the intervals according to the date specified in the documents’ field.
      • Lifecycle state (Historical): The number of documents that were in the lifecycle state in the intervals according to the specified period will be shown. This chart is only available for documents.
        • Lifecycle state: When selecting historical, it is then necessary to choose the state by which it will be filtered.
    • Period: Indicates the time intervals into which the X axis will be divided.
  • Pie Charts. For these charts we must specify:
    • Item to be grouped: Item to be counted.
    • Grouping: Indicates how those items will be grouped.
    • Period: Indicates the time interval in which those items will be grouped.

On the right-hand side of the screen you will be able to see the representation of the specified chart.

**Important: The calculations for these charts are costly, so they are cached. The chart data can be reloaded by clicking the icon located in the upper right part.

Add multiple lines to a line-type chart

Athento allows you to create multiple lines in the same line-type chart. A filter can be applied to each line.

In the chart to which you want to add new lines, press the button to add a new function line.

In the modal to add a new function line, type the name of the new line, a color for the line and a filter for the documents; you can choose not to add any filter.

You can add as many lines as you need. When you add a first line, the default line, which shows all documents, will be replaced by the line you have added. For each line you have added, you can see a button to duplicate it, one to edit it and another to delete it. After adding the lines, you must click the save button to apply the changes.

Filter a pie chart by Space

In pie-type charts with global context grouped by lifecycle state, you can optionally choose a Space. When selecting a Space, the chart counts only the documents in that Space.

  • If you do not select any Space, the chart keeps the previous behavior and counts all documents accessible to the user.
  • The Space selector does not appear or apply in charts whose context is a document.
